Hair Loss Treatment

What are the options?

Over the centuries, an exotic array of 'hair loss remedies' and treatments for baldness have been proposed. Few, if any would have had the slightest impact on hair loss and some would certainly have required considerable determination to use them on a regular basis! For example, back in 400BC, the Greek philosopher Hippocrates regularly prescribed a paste of cumin, pigeon droppings, crushed horseradish and beetroot or nettles for severe cases of hair loss.7

Fortunately, modern treatments are far more acceptable! A variety of different approaches is available. These include cosmetic options designed purely to disguise the effects of hair loss, surgical procedures such as transplants or grafts and medically licensed preparations available as a scalp rub or in tablet form.
